The wedding dance also marks the end of formal proceedings, speeches and such, and the transition to the less formal, more upbeat celebration of the wedding day.
The new couple invite to join them, first their bridesmaids and groomsmen, and then all the guests as the reception blossoms to abandoned merry-making.
